A Message from our President & CEO, Carol Wilding

Developments related to COVID-19 have required immense cooperation and collaboration. People are banding together to support each other at a local level to help flatten the curve at a global level. We have joined these efforts. CPA Ontario has implemented a number of safeguards to help ensure the safety and well-being of our employees, members, students, and the extended community, including closing our office and shifting our team to working remotely.

While we have to modify how we work for the time being to protect the health and wellbeing of our community, we remain steadfast in our commitment to protecting the public interest and helping to guide our members and students through these uncertain times.

Please see below for information related to our response to COVID-19. We will keep you informed of developments that may have an impact on you and our profession during this time.

We look forward to staying connected. Please check back for further updates on our website and through our social media channels. We sincerely thank you for your patience during this time. Please remember to take care of yourselves and those around you — we are all in this together.

Staying current on critical topics and continuing professional development is important to you. While we currently can’t deliver programs in-person, we are able to offer a number of digital options. The CPA profession has cancelled all April CPA PEP and CPA preparatory course examinations and the May 2020 Common Final Examination (CFE). The Capstone 2 module, which precedes the May 2020 CFE is also cancelled. The profession is dedicated to supporting students in their pursuit towards the CPA designation with the least amount of disruption as reasonably possible. Students will continue to receive updates on further details and instructions.

REMINDER: In order to maintain your good standing with CPA Ontario, you are required to pay your Annual Student Dues (ASD). As a result of the unprecedented circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic, CPA Ontario is deferring the ASD late dues by two months. Your 2020 ASD is now due by April 30. Late dues of $100 will be applied after this date.
