*Licensing stream, please refer to the Public Accounting Section of our website for details.
Sage Accpac version 5.6 (A56) is available in stand-alone DVD-ROM format only; you will also receive a copy of the companion tutorial, CT3.
- If you enrol in FA2, FA3 and BC1 you must purchase A56 from CGA Ontario, if you have not done so previously. Accpac 5.3A was the old software and has been discontinued for all three courses. Course data files are version specific. If you have Accpac 5.3A you will need to purchase Accpac 5.6A to complete these courses.
**Course fees for advanced and certification courses include access to an online instructor. See page 27 for details about the Instructor-Led resource.
Refer to the textbook list on page 18 of the Student Handbook, to determine if you should enrol “with material” or “without material”.
With Material: Pay this fee if you require the textbook(s).
Without Material: Pay this fee if you already have the textbook(s). If CGA Ontario is using a textbook for the first time, there is no “without material” fee. Note: All fees exclude applicable taxes.

Financial Support
As a student in the CGA program, you qualify to take advantage of the federal government’s lifelong learning plan (LLP). This plan allows you or your spouse to withdraw funds from your or your spouse’s registered savings plan to finance your education in the CGA education program. In order to qualify you must enrol in courses in three sessions. Obtain information from the Canada Revenue Agency website at www.cra-arc.gc.ca.
The Bank of Montreal offers a line of credit to students in the CGA program. A student may obtain up to $20,000 per year to a maximum of $80,000 over six years. Students may use the line of credit for tuition, course fees, books, computer, and software purchases. There are no fees and students can make interest-only payments for up to one year after certification.
